Lladro Disney Peter Pan and Tinkerbell Set

Peter Pan and his loyal fairy Tinkerbell are one of the most lovable and adventurous couples in children’s literature. Lladró artists have made them in glazed porcelain. For the decoration they used the famous green color of Peter’s costume and soft tones for Tinkerbell. Also worth noting are Tinkerbell’s big blue eyes and her profusely ornamented wings.

This High Porcelain limited edition brings a revered goddess to life, recreating a novel colour scheme of healing light, which releases ¨she who hears the lament of the world¨. According to a common Chinese belief, Kwan Yin lives on the island of Pu-tuo-shan, where her temple is surrounded by a lake of violet light which cures the ailments of all who bathe in its waters. It is said she will not rest until all human beings are freed from their suffering. The image of the goddess is decorated with innovative colours such as hues of purple and mauve and the metallic gold and aged silver of the forest flowers, never before used in a Lladró piece. For the remainder of the piece, hues in a harmonious green and yellow colour scheme have been employed.

This powerful character dressed in a spectacular costume is a limited edition of 250 units in High Porcelain, the category for the most exclusive pieces created at the Lladró workshops. The decoration of the piece also boasts a rich spectrum of colors, with a special mention for the metallic tones of the skirt, which called for a highly specific and complex application. Equally of note are the various finishes used to underscore the details and the striking recreation of the make-up covering the actor’s face. Kabuki is a creation conveying all the expressiveness and visual wealth that has made this traditional Japanese art form so famous.

Lladró artists portray a coiled dragon, whose fierce stare conveys all the power and strength of this mythological creature. On a technical level, the production process for this sculpture is highly complex, with all the whiskers, claws, crests, scales and other fragments painted with enamels and metallic lustres in every area. With this blue edition of the Great Dragon, the most contemporary and Westernised vision of the dragon has been depicted, increasing its decorative potential. Shivas attributes are finely defined with a host of details enhancing his majestic character: the trident, the drum, the snake, the bands of Rudraksha and the bun in his hair. The base provides room for the optional piece Lingam (01001981), a symbol used to worship Shiva and to overcome any situation that impedes personal growth.
Lladro Minnie in black and white Sculpture
This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision. The base is faceted black porcelain.
