XVIIIth Century Coach Sculpture. Limited Edition – Lladro

This great saloon in the Baroque style is inspired by the original models housed at the Coach Museum in Lisbon, and is one of the most complex and ambitious works by artists of the Lladró High Porcelain workshop. It is an example of extraordinarily beautiful, dainty ornamentation. The nobles of the European courts extended the magnificence of their palaces to the streets with these magnificent carriages. In this limited edition, attention is given to everything, down to the smallest detail: the four horses, servants´ uniforms, the gowns of the couple, and, above all, the decoration of the carriage. Some fifty different colours were used in its decoration and the application required roughly a hundred hours of painstaking work by the artists. The completion of each piece requires the participation of more than twenty different specialists who together, devote about 300 hours to the task. The result is a single piece which, once fired, is over a metre long and weighs around twenty kilograms.

In terms of the richness of the colour palette, this creation surpasses the classic Lladró palette and introduces more intense colours. The dark colour of the dress and the decorative details in three tones are emphasised, applied by hand through a painstaking process which enables them to stand out against such an intense background.
Lladro Minnie in black and white Sculpture
This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision. The base is faceted black porcelain.
Lladro Lord Shiva Sculpture. Limited Edition
Lord Shiva, the Hindu god of meditation and the arts, in a sculpture made in High Porcelain, Lladrós maximum artistic category. A piece that boasts many complex decorative techniques, like golden luster, and a large amount of handmade flowers made petal by petal. Shivas attributes are finely defined with a host of details enhancing his majestic character: the trident, the drum, the snake, the bands of Rudraksha and the bun in his hair. The base provides room for the optional piece Lingam (01001981), a symbol used to worship Shiva and to overcome any situation that impedes personal growth.
Lladro Goddess Durga Sculpture. Limited Edition
"Portraying Durga, the goddess who alleviates the suffering of all people on Earth, who protects the righteous and establishes benevolence and order, was both a challenge and an honor for Lladró artists. Made in a combination of glazed and matte porcelain, Durga is depicted sitting on the back of a spectacular tiger with striking blue eyes, symbolizing the goddess’s will and determination. The eight arms with which she is portrayed, each one holding a symbol of the different powers given to her by the gods, seem to have a movement of their own, while the goddess’s body and face convey a sense of peace and compassion. The composition is decorated with the signature deep red color of Hindu iconography and a spectrum of colors that includes faded browns, turquoises and mauves. These tonalities are enhanced by the use of carefully applied golden luster and a garland of flowers made up of 280 white and 7 pink petals, in addition to the delicate lotus flower she is holding in one of her hands. All these flowers are handmade, petal by petal."
Lladro Great Dragon Sculpture. Blue enamel. Limited Edition
A symbol of power and prosperity in Eastern culture, this magical creature, the bearer of good luck, is the protagonist in this spectacular High Porcelain limited edition. The hundreds of scales covering its skin are individually hand painted in different shades of blue, which gives it a special shine and which is an extremely laborious technique requiring the expertise of the finest artists. The luminosity distinguishing its spectacular embellishment is attained by combining gloss and satin finishes. The complexity of the dragon´s shape and the great number of small details make the process of its creation extremely difficult, from the modelling of the original sculpture through to its final firing in the kiln.

Made in matte and glazed porcelain, it is decorated with lots of details in golden luster and metallic treatments in the clothing, the chariot and the horses. The elaborate ornamentation includes floral decoration, particularly the garland worn by Krishna, made up of 172 flowers, handmade petal by petal. This ambitious creation is on a par with the great works from the Lladró High Porcelain workshop. Handcrafted in Spain.

Balaji is a limited edition of 299 units. Under the name of High Porcelain, Lladró brings together a collection of exclusive creations that constitute the true essence of his art. Made by the sculptor Virginia González, this piece is a sample of the technical skill and mastery achieved by the artists of the brand. This representation of Balaji or Lord Venkateshwara, one of the most revered deities from India, stands out for its majestic and exuberant decoration, luxuriously covered by a myriad of porcelain flowers. Its ornamental richness is at the level of the powerful Balaji, which fulfills the wishes of its faithful if they are asked with a true heart and a strong determination. A combination of matt and glossy porcelain with enamels and different finishes of luster, gold, platinum and metallic tones has been used to finish this majestic creation. But what really stands out is the dazzling floral decoration, made up of a total of 1,866 flowers that form the side columns and the different garlands that the god wears. Lladro Radha Krishna on a Swing Sculpture. Limited Edition
The love between Radha and Krishna has given rise to some wonderful fables and their story is an important part of major Hindu celebrations like Jhulan Yatra, the festival of swings. After the summer heat, when the clouds float high in the sky, the Brajwasi celebrate the arrival of the first rains. With the onset of monsoon season, ponds and lakes fill with rainwater, lotus flowers blossom, the air is scented with a pleasant fragrance and the forests of Vrindavan are decorated with wonderful jhula, like the one on which Radha and Krishna swing in this High Porcelain creation. Following tradition, the swing is finely decorated with many flowers which, like the garland worn by Krishna, have all been handmade one by one, with over 200 petals. The costumes worn by Radha and Krishna signify their spiritual importance and Lladró artists have recreated them in minute detail. From the jewelry, etched by hand and decorated with golden and copper luster, to the embroidery of the fabrics or the decoration applied by hand combining deep rich colors like orange and blue. Radha Krishna on a Swing is a creation that seems to float in the air, suspended over a wood base. In this way, the divine couple rock back and forth forever on their legendary swing, conveying to the world their divine love.
