Lladro Cinderella’s Arrival Sculpture. Limited Edition

This piece, one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by the artists of the City of Porcelain, marks a milestone in the work of Lladró. In a display of artistic and technical virtuosity, even the tiniest detail imagined by Perrault has been recreated: the horses reins are gold-plated while the harnesses are embellished with zircon and the inside of the carriage is profusely decorated. Luxury, magic and dreams all come together in a creation which, measuring 116 cm long, is one of the biggest Lladró pieces yet undertaken.

Lladro Guardian Lioness Sculpture. Red. Limited Edition
For thousands of years, these majestic creatures have represented the best omens in Eastern culture. Artists at the Lladró High Porcelain workshop have recreated this ancient tradition in these limited edition pieces, richly decorated with lustres and various textures and finishes. This powerful character dressed in a spectacular costume is a limited edition of 250 units in High Porcelain, the category for the most exclusive pieces created at the Lladró workshops. The decoration of the piece also boasts a rich spectrum of colors, with a special mention for the metallic tones of the skirt, which called for a highly specific and complex application. This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision.
