Star Wars Grogu™ Sculpture – Lladro-USA

Grogu™ is a cute little character who quickly conquered the hearts of countless fans of the Star Wars saga ever since he first appeared in The Mandalorian series. The sculptural work in this creation, handcrafted in porcelain, is particularly outstanding for the perfect likeness of the character and for the different decorative techniques used. His face, ears and hands are decorated with liquid colors, perfect for underscoring all the details of the skin, like the little frown lines, the dimple and the shape of the ears. Pearly touches are also used for the cheeks, as well as soft stony grey and pink tones. A matte camel color was chosen for his robe, combined with off-white for the collar and sleeves. The off-white color is applied using a technique of painting and erasing that increases the effect of depth in the fabric. And, of course, a special mention is deserved for Grogu™’s eyes, the only detail for which glazed effects were used, with the goal of making this gaze more intense and alive.

This High Porcelain limited edition brings a revered goddess to life, recreating a novel colour scheme of healing light, which releases ¨she who hears the lament of the world¨. According to a common Chinese belief, Kwan Yin lives on the island of Pu-tuo-shan, where her temple is surrounded by a lake of violet light which cures the ailments of all who bathe in its waters. For thousands of years, these majestic creatures have represented the best omens in Eastern culture. Artists at the Lladró High Porcelain workshop have recreated this ancient tradition in these limited edition pieces, richly decorated with lustres and various textures and finishes. These lions, inspired by traditional statues of bronze, iron or granite which flank the doors of palaces, temples and noble houses in various Eastern countries, are presented in pairs and protect the buildings from evil spirits. Seen from the front, the male is located on the right and takes care of the structure, represented by the ball he holds with his leg, while the female is located on the left and cares for the inhabitants. This lion is paired with the guardian lioness (black) and there are two other decorative versions. Black, blue and silver tones are predominant in its ornamentation, giving the piece a very modern air. Artists of the High Porcelain workshop recreate and embellish every detail of the piece, such as the elaborate ornamentation of the skirts and chest plates, the introduction of the necklace as a decorative element and the lavish modelling of the manes and tails. Authentic filigree work makes these impressive sculptures a work halfway between the thousand-year-old tradition and the maker´s creation.

Lladro Minnie in black and white Sculpture
This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision. Hina Dolls – Empress Sculpture. Limited Edition – Lladro
Hina Dolls - Empress is an exquisite piece of High Porcelain with delicate and meticulous embellishment, inspired by an ancient Japanese tradition. It is a piece destined to become a veritable family heirloom. This empress represents one of the leading figures of Hina Ningyo, a composition of figures placed upon a stage, where girls are given away in Japan every 3 March at the feast of Hina Matsuri to assure them a happy life. This limited edition, which pays careful attention to the smallest details of the garments worn by emperors of the Japanese court during the Heian period, forms a pair with Hina Dolls - Emperor. On a decorative level, the reproduction of the richness of embroidered fabrics is highlighted, as is the image of traditional Japanese fabric simulating Damascus silk, which transforms the piece into a little jewel. In terms of its the richness of the colour palette, this creation surpasses the classic Lladró palette and introduces more intense colours. The dark colour of the dress and the decorative details in three tones are emphasised, applied by hand through a painstaking process which enables them to stand out against such an intense background.

This representation of Balaji or Lord Venkateshwara, one of the most revered deities from India, stands out for its majestic and exuberant decoration, luxuriously covered by a myriad of porcelain flowers. Its ornamental richness is at the level of the powerful Balaji, which fulfills the wishes of its faithful if they are asked with a true heart and a strong determination. A combination of matt and glossy porcelain with enamels and different finishes of luster, gold, platinum and metallic tones has been used to finish this majestic creation. But what really stands out is the dazzling floral decoration, made up of a total of 1,866 flowers that form the side columns and the different garlands that the god wears. Shivas attributes are finely defined with a host of details enhancing his majestic character: the trident, the drum, the snake, the bands of Rudraksha and the bun in his hair. The base provides room for the optional piece Lingam (01001981), a symbol used to worship Shiva and to overcome any situation that impedes personal growth.
