For thousands of years, these majestic creatures have represented the best omens in Eastern culture. Artists at the Lladró High Porcelain workshop have recreated this ancient tradition in these limited edition pieces, richly decorated with lustres and various textures and finishes. This creation is based on a contemporary vision of Mickey Mouse. The creative approach is based on animation techniques and brushwork in black and white ink. Here Mickey is decorated with drawings hand-painted on the porcelain that represent some of the most outstanding themes in Lladró’s imagery, such as love, nature and magic. The drawings also feature in the decoration of his t-shirt, his famous gloves, socks and shoes, all executed with great precision and at once in a light-hearted charming fashion. The world's most famous mouse debuted in 1928 in what we now consider Disney's first undisputed success. Lladro Minnie in black and white Sculpture
This creation offers a contemporary vision of Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart. The point of departure for the creative approach is animated cartoon techniques based on black ink drawing on a white ground. So, black is the only color used in the decoration of Minnie, together with a few touches of golden luster applied in the ribbon in her hair, her shoes and the tip of her nose. The end result is an unmistakable and charming Minnie who has swapped her usual red dress for a white dress with black polka dots rendered with utmost care and precision. The base is faceted black porcelain.
