SCS – Annual Edition 1987 – Lovebirds

This annual edition of 1987, ” Lovebirds ” is the first one that was produced for the Swarovski Collectors Society. The Swarovski Collectors Society consisted only in English speaking countries.
This annual edition ”Lovebirds” was only available in English speaking countries. So this is a very rare edition!
It was expected that there would be produced only about 10,000 pieces. This meant that even the collectors in Austria (home of Swarovski) could not buy the piece!

Originally, the design was attributed as a collaboration between Max Schreck and Adi Stocker, but in 1998 Swarovski gave full credit to the designer Max Schreck.

The Lovebirds are also known as’ ‘Togetherness’.
The first trilogy of the annual editions is called ‘Caring and Sharing’.

The two birds are made of clear crystal with black / white eyes and a matte beak. Together they sit on a frosted crystal branch.
